That’s right! This title can only mean one thing. Speed Powerups are coming to Fun Run 4!

Some of you reading this might already have noticed that we have been experimenting with speed related changes in several game modes. It started with Speed Powerups as part of the Throwback game mode and eventually Turbo and Speed powerups in other modes as well. Your feedback in surveys and elsewhere has been consistent - Speed Powerups should be part of the game. We are now ready to bring Speed Powerups into the core by making them their own category in powerup loadouts.

For the Speed Powerup release we have polished and reworked 3 of the Speed powerups that have been present in some of the rotating game modes for a while now.

The first is the reliable and effective Boost Speed. This gives an initial kick and then a higher top speed for it’s duration. This will be the default Speed powerup that all players will start with once this update rolls out.

The second is a rework of the Jumpy Speed where each jump shoots you forward.

The third is tweaked Blast Speed where you shoot forward quickly and need to be careful not to hit anything as you fly.

Now that Speed powerups will be in all loadouts, we also thought the start of races should start with an explosion... of speed! Having everyone start with their selected Speed powerup makes the start of races more strategic and gets everyone into the action quicker.

We are aiming to release this update early next year so start saving some Bolts. All players will start with the Boost Speed powerup so everyone will be ready to shoot off from the start-line once this update rolls out.

Golden Skins are here! ✨

Time to shine, runners.

The very first Golden Skins are rolling out for the Dragon and Hyena!

Here’s how they work:

  • Golden skins can appear in the shop on weekends
  • They only show up if you own the animal and it’s level 10 or higher
  • They’re coin-only and cost 50,000 coins

This is just the beginning — over time, we’ll be adding Golden Skins for all animals.
